Mipa Protector black

Mipa Protector black is a structured 2K polyurethane-acrylic protective coating developed for areas that take real use and repeated wear. The best known application is the coating of transport beds and pick-up load areas, but Mipa Protector black is also used on other highly stressed vehicle surfaces and as underbody protection where a robust black finish is preferred. The coating builds a strong, textured surface that is made to resist rough handling far better than a decorative topcoat intended mainly for appearance.

A large part of the appeal lies in the balance between protection and practicality. The coating is designed to deliver excellent mechanical and chemical resistance, and the high-build character helps create a durable protective layer with a noticeable structure. That texture is not only visual. It also helps create a tough surface suited to load spaces, utility vehicles and working surfaces that regularly face abrasion, contact and hard use. The structure can be influenced during application, so the final look can be adjusted within the typical bedliner style rather than being fixed to one exact appearance.

The black finish is ready for jobs where colour matching is not the priority and a tough black finish is exactly what is wanted. The system works at a 3:1 mixing ratio with compatible Mipa hardeners, commonly H 5 or H 10, and it is supplied in practical pack sizes for smaller areas and larger coating work. A 750 ml unit is useful for compact repairs or single sections, while the 3 litre format suits broader vehicle areas and more complete protective work. Mipa Protector black is commonly applied with an underbody or protective-coating gun, which fits the intended role of building texture and protective film thickness rather than laying down a smooth refinishing surface.

That makes it suitable not only for pick-up beds but also for working areas on commercial vehicles, utility bodies and other surfaces where tools, cargo and repeated contact would quickly mark a normal finish. The emphasis stays firmly on durable protection with a purposeful textured appearance.

What is it used for?

Mipa Protector black is used when a vehicle or utility surface needs a tough, textured protective coating instead of a conventional paint finish.
