Mipa BC Additive VDG-HV is a colourless additive for the Mipa BC solventborne basecoat system. The additive increases ready-to-spray viscosity when the basecoat needs a higher-viscosity application route than the normal thinner setup.
VDG-HV is used instead of the standard BC thinner route where the selected application needs more body in the ready material. The additive supports controlled basecoat behaviour in warmer processing conditions and during blending work within the BC system.
The additive does not act as a stand-alone coating. VDG-HV belongs inside the compatible Mipa BC system and modifies the application behaviour of the prepared basecoat mixture. Correct use keeps the colour layer within the intended BC process.
Mipa BC Additive VDG-HV is available in 1 litre and 3 litre packs. The size selection covers smaller adjustment work and regular basecoat preparation in professional refinish environments.

Mipa BC Additive VDG-HV is mixed with compatible BC material following the Mipa system instructions. The additive route should be selected only when the basecoat preparation calls for increased viscosity.
The adjusted BC mixture should be applied with the correct spray setup, flash-off time and following clearcoat process. VDG-HV keeps its role inside the basecoat preparation step rather than replacing the coating system itself.
VDG-HV gives the BC mixture a higher-viscosity route while keeping the colour layer inside the Mipa BC process. The additive is selected when application control, blending behaviour or processing temperature makes the standard BC thinner route too light for the job.
