Mipa 2K Fade-Out Thinner is the special thinner used at the edge of a spot repair to melt and soften the overspray transition. Instead of leaving a rough dry border where the repair ends, it helps the clear or topcoat flow out more smoothly into the surrounding surface so the blend is less visible after finishing.
Mipa 2K Solvent 1 l Spray thinning is applied immediately after the repair material has been sprayed, focusing on the border area where the fresh paint fades into the existing finish. That makes it a practical tool for localised repair work on panels where a hard dry edge would otherwise need extra correction or polishing to hide the transition.
It can also be used carefully on older paintwork when a slight dissolving action is wanted to improve the adhesion of the following coating, although that route always depends on substrate suitability. In normal day-to-day use, however, its Main function is fade-out work: softening overspray and helping the spot repair sit more cleanly in the surrounding finish.
The 1 litre pack is a useful standard size for regular spot-repair work. When a local repair has to end neatly instead of leaving a visible edge line, this is the thinner that is brought in for that final blending step.
