Mipa 2K Accelerator is used when the coating needs to cure faster than the standard system would allow, especially in colder conditions. It is added to compatible Mipa PUR, PUR HS and OC paints to shorten drying times and help the coated part move on sooner in the process.
This is particularly useful during winter or in cool spray conditions where normal drying can become noticeably slower. Instead of waiting longer for the coating to harden out, the accelerator supports a quicker reaction inside the paint system. That helps reduce delays on jobs where time matters and where lower temperature would otherwise slow the entire repaint cycle down.
The important point with this kind of additive is balance. It improves drying speed, but it also shortens pot life, so it is used deliberately and in the correct dose for the job at hand. In practical use, it is chosen when faster curing brings a clear advantage and when the coating can still be applied comfortably inside the shorter open time.
The 500 ml size makes it easy to keep this additive available for colder periods or for selected fast-turnaround jobs. When the paint system itself is correct but the curing pace needs support, Mipa 2K Accelerator is the add-on used to bring the drying stage forward.
