MP Protect Pad 150 mm 75-Hole Velcro 2 mm is a thin sacrificial pad that sits between the sanding disc and the main backing pad. Its job is simple and useful: it protects the original hook and loop face of the backing pad from wear so the main pad lasts longer in everyday sanding use.
