MP Wet Film Thickness Gauge is a six-sided aluminium gauge for measuring wet coating thickness straight after application. It is used while the film is still fresh, when film build can still be checked and corrected before the coating cures.
This type of gauge is pressed into the wet coating so the wet layer height can be read from the contact points on the measuring edges. That gives a fast practical check on how much material has actually been laid down on the substrate.
A direct wet film reading is useful when a coating system needs controlled film build for coverage, appearance or later dry film performance. It also helps when a job calls for repeatable application across several parts, panels or sections instead of relying on visual judgement alone.
The aluminium body keeps the gauge light and easy to handle during application control. The six-sided shape is compact, easy to grip and simple to move around the spray area, rolling station or coating bench as the work progresses.
For painters and coating applications that need a quick check rather than a guess, this gauge gives a straightforward way to verify wet layer thickness and adjust the application process while the coating can still be influenced.
