Mipa 2K System Additive PUA 1 l is a specialised additive for compatible Mipa 2K topcoats. It is used to improve coating behaviour during demanding application methods, especially Airmix and Airless spraying, while also supporting roller and brush application where the technical information permits it.
PUA helps reduce the risk of micro foam and supports better degassing, levelling and gloss appearance in the final coating film. These points are important when 2K topcoats are applied on complex shapes, large parts or surfaces where the coating must flow smoothly without trapped air or uneven appearance.
The additive does not replace hardener, thinner or correct mixing. It is a system additive that belongs into specified Mipa 2K coating combinations at the stated dosage. The base paint, hardener and application method determine whether PUA is suitable and how the final mixture is adjusted.
Measure the additive accurately and stir thoroughly into the mixed coating. Check pot life after mixing, use suitable thinner where required and apply within the recommended viscosity selection. Do not add PUA by guesswork, because too much additive can disturb the balance of the coating system.
Mix the 2K coating with the correct hardener first, then add PUA at the specified dosage and stir thoroughly. Adjust viscosity only as described in the technical information for the complete coating system.
