Mipa AK 232-10 forms a fast drying matt synthetic high-build topcoat for industrial metal coating. The coating combines colour, film build and active corrosion protection in one alkyd resin layer, making it suited to steel parts, cast components, containers, machines, chassis, switch cabinets, transport frames and similar metal structures in interior and exterior service.
AK 232-10 is built for robust industrial surfaces where a matt finish and corrosion resistant coating layer are required. The high-build film supports cover edges and metal profiles with a protective coating thickness, while the active zinc phosphate corrosion protection supports durable service on cleaned and prepared steel. The matt surface reduces gloss reflection on technical parts, frames and machinery while still giving a finished colour appearance.
The coating serves as a direct coating on prepared steel with an 80 to 100 micrometre dry film build. A two-layer structure can also be used with Mipa AK 105-20 as primer at 50 to 60 micrometres followed by AK 232 at 80 to 100 micrometres. Mipa UN and Mipa UN 21 are the matching thinners for viscosity adjustment and application control.
AK 232-10 suits spray, brush and roller application where the job calls for controlled industrial handling. The coating dries quickly at 20 °C, with dust dry behaviour after roughly 10 to 15 minutes, handling strength after roughly 30 to 35 minutes, assembly readiness after roughly 12 hours and final hardness after about 6 to 7 days. The 20 kg format fits regular industrial use, larger metal assemblies and repeat colour application across price group I, II and III shades.
