Mipa BC Thinner Long VDG is the slow thinner for the Mipa BC solventborne basecoat system. The slower evaporation profile supports steadier basecoat flow when normal thinner flashes too quickly for the panel, the temperature or the working area.
BC Thinner Long VDG adjusts the ready-to-spray viscosity of compatible Mipa BC materials. The slower reducer route gives the basecoat more time to level during application and supports more controlled metallic or effect orientation on larger panels.
The thinner belongs in BC basecoat work where application conditions call for a longer open time. Warm paintshop conditions, larger surfaces and slower spray rhythm can all increase the need for a longer BC thinner.
Mipa BC Thinner Long VDG is supplied in 1 litre and 5 litre packs. The 1 litre pack suits occasional BC adjustments, while the 5 litre pack supports regular refinish work with the slower thinner profile.

Mipa BC Thinner Long VDG is mixed into compatible BC basecoat material following the relevant technical information for the selected system. The thinner should be selected when slower evaporation gives better application control than the normal BC thinner route.
The slower profile supports a more stable wet edge during application. Correct film build, gun setup, temperature and flash-off remain important for basecoat appearance and the following clearcoat layer.
