The GoldFilm selection uses a plastic film backing rather than paper, which gives the strip a thin, flexible, and highly tear-resistant feel during long sanding passes. That construction helps the abrasive stay stable on the block while following slight panel curvature without becoming floppy or ragged at the edges.

The 70 x 420 mm format is made for longer hand blocks and file boards used on filler, primer surfacer, and prepared repair areas. Across long strokes on doors, quarter sections, panel joints, repaired edges, and broader flat sections, the strip supports even pressure and helps reveal highs and lows clearly.
