MP Polishing Backing Plates form the machine side support for polishing sponges used in paint finishing. The backing plate holds the sponge securely, transfers machine movement into the pad and keeps polishing pressure controlled across the surface.
Paint finishing depends on stable contact between machine, backing plate, sponge and coated surface. A suitable plate keeps the pad centred, supports the polishing sponge and supports the operator work around panels, repaired areas, edges and shaped surfaces with predictable pad behaviour. MP Polishing Backing Plates cover M8 formats for MP eccentric polishers with 15 mm and 21 mm stroke, plus a 150 mm M14 Velcro plate for compatible polishing machines.
