Pro Mix Structure Additives are powder additives for selected Mipa Pro Mix bases. They create controlled texture and haptic effects in compatible coatings, from very fine surface structure to coarse, sharp edged or elastic rubber like finishes.
The additives are used when the surface needs more than a smooth colour finish. Different grain types change the feel and visual appearance of the coating, including gloss perception, shade impression and surface texture. That makes the additives useful for functional industrial coatings, design effects and surfaces where a tactile finish is part of the specification.
The additive must be used with a suitable Pro Mix base. The additive is not a standalone coating. Correct processing, timely use of mixed material and compatibility with the selected base are essential for a controlled result.
The listed structures include very fine PP 30, fine PP 50, medium sharp PP 150, edged sharp PC 500, elastic rubber like EM 4000, fine hard PE 60, round very coarse CA 1500 and sharp edged coarse SI 500. The final surface depends on the base, additive type, mixing and application method.
