Mipa Stabilising Thinner is a special thinner and aluminium controller for Mipa BC basecoats. It is made for basecoat shades where effect pigment orientation needs additional control during spray application.
Metallic and effect basecoats can be sensitive to clouding, mottling and uneven pigment layout. Mipa Stabilising Thinner helps improve the orientation of effect pigments in Mipa BC basecoat and can be used instead of Mipa BC Thinner in the same ratio where the technical information allows it. The result is more controlled basecoat behaviour before the clearcoat stage.
This thinner is not a paint, clearcoat or primer. Its role is spray adjustment and stabilisation inside the Mipa BC basecoat process. The colourless liquid supports professional refinishing where the painter needs more predictable metallic or effect control, especially on shades with a stronger tendency to clouding.
The 1 l and 5 l formats suit regular paintshop use, from smaller jobs to larger basecoat mixing needs. Correct use depends on the basecoat formula, spraying conditions and technical information for the Mipa BC material being applied. The stabilising effect is most relevant where metallic or effect layout must stay even across the repaired surface.
