Mipa 1K Insulator Spray is a special barrier primer for surfaces where the existing paint layer reacts too strongly to solvent-based recoating. It isolates sensitive old finishes and helps stop lifting, wrinkling or bleed-through before the new coating is applied.
That makes it useful when an older coating is still intact but cannot be overpainted directly without risk. Instead of stripping the whole part, the sensitive surface can be insulated first so the next paint layer sits on a safer, more stable base.
The ochre-coloured film dries quickly and is intended for thin, controlled application. It fits well into repair work where speed matters and where only certain sections of the part need isolating before the colour or clear layer goes on. It is especially useful on repaired sections and older finishes where a direct solvent attack would risk spoiling an otherwise sound surface.
