Description
Mipa Aktivprimer is an acid-curing, chromate-free 2K primer designed especially for aluminium substrates providing active corrosion protection and excellent adhesion on iron, steel and galvanized substrates.
Product information
Mipa Aktivprimer can be overcoated with all Mipa 1K and 2K systems (except for epoxy coating systems and waterborne basecoats). It can also be used in a three-layer-application (Aktivprimer/ filler/ topcoat).
Where does this product work best?
This basecoat is intended for colour matching and refinishing work before clearcoating. It is used where accurate colour laydown and reliable overcoating with a compatible 2K clearcoat are required.
How to use
Prepare the substrate thoroughly and remove grease, dust and loose contamination before coating. Mix the product in the stated ratio (1:1; 2:1) with Mipa Hardener WPZ; adjust with Spray viscosity Ready-to-use viscosity is achieved after addition of hardener if required. Apply even coats and respect the flash-off, drying and recoating times of the full system. From +10 °C and up to 80 % relative air humidity. Ensure an adequate supply and exhaust air ventilation
