Mipa P 50 incl. hardener PE auto fibre filler

Mipa P 50 is a polyester resin based 2K glass fibre filler for stronger first-stage repair work. The glass fibre reinforcement gives the filler more bridging ability than a normal fine filler, making it suitable for cracks, small holes, corrosion perforations and damaged areas that need extra stability before finishing. It is asbestos-free and supplied with hardener for direct use in the correct mixing ratio.

P 50 is suitable for iron, steel, aluminium, GRP and wood. The lower hygroscopic behaviour of the filling materials also makes P 50 suitable for boat repair and similar work where stronger repair material is needed before the finishing layers. Vertical surfaces can be repaired without problems when the filler is mixed and applied correctly, so it can be used on panels, profiles, edges and upright sections without excessive sagging.

Mipa P 50 is mixed with Mipa Hardener P at 100:2 by weight. At 20 °C, pot life is around 4 to 5 minutes and sanding is possible after about 20 minutes. The light yellow, milky colour makes the repair area easy to identify during shaping. After P 50 has built the stronger repair base, the surface can be refined with a suitable finishing filler where a finer surface is needed before primer and paint.

How is it used?

Clean, degrease and abrade the damaged area before filling. Mix only the amount of Mipa P 50 that can be applied within the working time, press the filler firmly into the damaged area and shape the repair after curing. A finishing filler may be used afterwards when a finer final surface is required.
