Mipa WPU 4005-90 is the gloss finish of Mipa’s waterborne 2K PU plastic coating system for premium finishing on plastic substrates. It is intended for both flexible and rigid plastics and is suitable for indoor and outdoor use, which makes it relevant for a wide selection of technical and visible parts. Covers, moulded trims, housings and shaped components all benefit from a system developed specifically for plastic rather than adapted from general metal coating work.
Mipa developed this coating specifically for high-quality work on plastic substrates, so it suits components that need to look well finished while coping with real service conditions. The system is suitable for both flexible and solid substrates and is intended for indoor and outdoor use, which opens it up to plastic covers, machine details, decorative elements, trim parts and technical housings that cannot be treated like generic metalwork.
The gloss finish brings extra clarity to the final colour and gives edges, curves and surfaces a more decisive appearance. That makes it a strong choice when the coated plastic part has a visible role in the finished product and the surface should look deliberate, bright and premium instead of flat or subdued.
