Mipa WPU 2425-10 is the matt finish of Mipa’s high-performance waterborne 2K PU topcoat line for exposed metalwork. It is intended for vehicles, metal facades, machinery and constructions under high strain, so it speaks directly to applications that need a premium finish on surfaces that are both visible and hard working. The matt effect is not just about style. It softens reflection, helps large coloured areas read more evenly and gives the final coating a technical, contemporary appearance that sits well on architectural and industrial metal.
Behind that finish is a very capable topcoat system. It offers outstanding resistance to chemicals and UV radiation, and the technical information also points to high water resistance, strong solvent resistance, scratch resistance and excellent resistance to chemical and mechanical loads. For painted metal parts in exterior exposure or intensive service, those are the kinds of properties that matter over time. This coating is also known for long open time and strong overspray absorption, which supports application on larger surfaces where consistent appearance is often harder to achieve.
WPU 2425-10 is therefore a smart choice for custom-colour projects where you want the surface to look flat and composed rather than shiny, but you still need a full industrial-grade result. It is well suited to machine casings, metal cladding, frame elements, vehicle parts and fabricated assemblies that should keep their colour and finish under serious use. Used in the correct system build, it delivers a matt end result with far more resilience than a purely decorative coating.
